... That I would ever be quoting anything Reagan the moron has said with approval. But special times calls for special acts.

It marks a significant step in the development during this century of international measures against torture and other inhuman treatment or punishment. Ratification of the Convention by the United States will clearly express United States opposition to torture, an abhorrent practice unfortunately still prevalent in the world today," - president Ronald Reagan, 1988.

Now compare this clear position against torture with that which has been espoused by the Asshole in Chief and his cronies and you see how far down we have come.

This country is going to hell in a hand-basket and the sad thing is that there is a cheering section for it.
